They See It All (11x14)
I writhed as this drawing was being conceived in my mind. Unwilling to commit to any idea until it became perfectly clear in my inner world. Sunflowers took seed in a month of grief and flowered on the day my pen got to work. I followed the trace of every feminine surface in the home and found myself carving out the body of a woman. In my world, this is not uncommon. Surrounded by women of magic, women who create life, women who hold tight through grief, who keep generations, women who see the future. Complex webbings; creation that is founded in sisterhood and an unshakable belief its value. "For though she was birthed, I know the burden she bares."
